On Friday the 23rd of May at 10am, Children from Bagillt Merllyn primary school will be holding a Q+A with local Delyn MP, David Hanson to talk about their school council, what it’s like to be an MP and what politics is all about.
Mr Hanson will visit the primary school to speak with the ‘school council’, a group of representatives from each age group in the primary school, to answer any questions they might have and to tell them what being an MP for the area is all about.
Mr Hanson regularly visits schools across Delyn to speak with students about what democracy means in practice and why politics is important for everyone.
David Hanson MP said:
“Engaging young people in politics is really important because it is something that will make a real difference to their lives as they grow up. I’m really glad to see the school setting up a council that students can participate in, and I hope they kids enjoy the talk and make the most of being representatives for their classmates.”
